I wish the scribble strips looked more like the ones on the website. Those are very easy to read. The ones on the shipping units are very hard to read unless you're right on top of them.
Yes indeed if they where like the images on the site I would be happy.
Think and hope it's just a setting for the strength of the backlight. Or they did good Photoshop work on the images
The faders strips are barely readable unless you stand above them. The manual mentions that it is possible to adjust contrast, but then there's nothing on how to do that. So hope this can be addressed "soon". The channel strip layout shown in section 3.2 of the user manual is a far cry from the actual layout presented and must say was hoping for what the manual is showing. Have no idea when I press the Pan/Param what the channel strip is showing for a mono channel. Help! On the same topic, is it by design the channel strip name is collapsed into 4 characters? There's space for more and four characters is too cryptic (it's already crypt in in Pro Tools as is is) Hope this can be left as it is shown in Pro Tools ... For the record: Using Pro Tools 12.7 and Firmware 1.0.1
To be clear, even though there is a contrast option under Setup with firmware 1.10, it doesn't really solve the problem.
The issue is the brightness of the backlight. It is too high. Even if you turn the contrast all the way down and the text it barely readable, the non text part of the screen is still too bright.
I have to use mine at a 45deg angle.
Compare mine to the Faderport 8 on the front page of the website which looks about a 30deg angle and the display is white text and black background.
Are our Faderport 8s faulty or has the website image been digitally altered?
Thank you for the feature request.
